The pursuit of gamefish inspires many anglers. For a select few, just catching a fish does not get the adrenaline flowing. The fish has to be a MONSTER! In the Florida Keys we have true monsters swimming in the waters around us.

Many anglers choose to avoid these beasts but the select few that accept the challenge will experience the jolt of a fish bigger than they are and the raw power that often proves to be more than the angler or tackle can stand.
The MONSTERS of the Florida Keys are the giant Sharks and Giant Goliath Grouper, and Sawfish found both in the shallow water and the depths of the wrecks. We can pursue these fish in small boats to make the experience that much more exciting.
Often, these leviathans will pull the boat for miles before allowing us to get close. Fishing tackle is heavy in order to manage the strength and power of these predators.
This is EXTREME FISHING and not for the faint of heart. Sharks may bite the boat or turn and attack. We will not fish for these fish from the skiff but find the 24 foot Yellowfin Bay Boats or the Center console 36 to be perfect for the task. |
