The Florida Everglades make up one of the most well-known and treasured American National Parks. They are also being “strangled” by water issues. Since the damming of the Kissimmee River, the Everglades’ primary source of freshwater, this beautiful fishery has seen “endangered wildlife populations, declining water quality, water mismanagement, [and] extensive urban and agricultural development,” according to Captains For Clean Water, a conservation organization dedicated to restoring the health and natural beauty of the Everglades. Outstanding workout with only a pull-up bar

With only a pullup bar, I can do one of the best workouts that I have ever done.  Even with a gym full of equipment, we still often just do this super simple workout.  If I am truly relegated to the hotel gym for safety reasons (like in Africa) I can complete this workout with a pullup bar and a treadmill which most gyms have.

How To Tie The Bowline Knot - Every Outdoorsman Must Know This Knot

I use the Bowline to tie up my boat, or secure anything to anything in a way that it will easily be untied and used again.  If you are an outdoorsman of any kind, you should be able to tie this knot blindfolded.  Not blindfolded in a figurative sense, you should actually close your eyes...

Simple Run And Pushup Workout For Travelers

Simply run 3 miles and at any time, anywhere at your discretion, complete 300 pushups.  These can be done before, after or during.  Lots of times, I have completed 50 right at the starting line and then run for a while and periodically hit another 50.  Traffic lights or intersections are great opportunities to drop and do 50.
